Dunlop expands light truck tire range with all-season and winter options | Tire Technology International

Dunlop has recently broadened its selection with the introduction of new all-season and winter tires for light trucks. The two new additions, Dunlop Econodrive AS (all-season) and Dunlop Econodrive Winter, complement the existing Dunlop Econodrive light truck range, which already includes summer tires Dunlop Econodrive and Dunlop Econodrive LT.

This expansion aims to position Dunlop competitively in the value segment of the light truck tire market, offering its most competitive product line-up to date. According to the company, its strategic move is informed by market research predicting a 9.3% growth in this segment of the light truck tire market by 2028.

Dunlop Econodrive AS and Dunlop Econodrive Winter will be available in 17 and 19 new sizes, respectively, catering to the needs of a variety of popular light trucks.

Econodrive AS incorporates technological advances to deliver reliable performance across diverse conditions, offering robust mileage and durability. The tire boasts a high number of blades and a new cap compound, providing enhanced grip and braking in wet conditions. Additionally, its high tread depth ensures optimal year-round performance.

Designed as an all-season tire, the Dunlop Econodrive AS excels in a wide range of conditions, making it suitable for demanding applications with its new robust construction.

Dunlop’s winter offering features a tread pattern with a distinctive ‘V’ shape, promoting efficient water evacuation for reliable handling. The center grooves effectively catch and grip snow during motion. The tire’s tread block is reinforced with connectors, enhancing structural rigidity, reducing abrasion and increasing overall mileage.
